“For the love of money is the root of all evil.”

From 1 Timothy 6:10

The phrase first appeared in English around 1000 A.D. The originated version of this saying is “For the love of money is the root of all evil.”

Money is the root of evil. Where there is human being there is benefit, there is benefit there is fight for benefit. The pursuit of benefit is innate in human nature. No matter in capitalism or socialism society,“money”talks all the times. In modern society, money has been giving more attention than any time in the history. It can not only buy anything materialized which is measureable but also anything spiritualized which cannot be measured. These spiritualized things conclude power, status, and dignity. In the area of politics people pursues power because of money; in the area of economy, people make lots of counterfeit and shoddy products because of money; in our everyday life people murdering, cheating, betraying because of money. Countless examples show us a decent person can become depraved much more easily after becoming rich.
